This year the History of Dermatology Society will convene in San Diego, California at the Palomar San Diego Hotel, 1047 5th Avenue. The annual meeting events will all be on Thursday, March 15th. We will begin with a tour of the San Diego Museum of Art at 10:00 A.M. Following our tour of the Museum, we will proceed to Palomar San Diego Hotel where lunch will be served at 12 noon. After lunch we will start the afternoon seminar. This year's seminar entitled "Caretakers of the Skin: Americans in the 19th Century" will begin promptly at 1:30 P.M and end at 5:00 P.M.
The annual Banquet and Zakon Lecture will be held at Salvatore's Cucina Italiana beginning with a cocktail reception at 7:00 P.M. The Samuel J. Zakon lecture will be presented by Martin Black. The evening festivities will be enhanced by the annual Marion B. Sulzberger Toast, the Herman Beerman Toast and John T. Crissey Toasts. The Samuel J. Zakon Prize winner will be announced.
A block of suites have been reserved at the Palomar San Diego Hotel for those Society members and others who wish to stay there during the meeting. For reservations, please call the hotel directly 1-877-515-2211 or 1-619-515-3088 for the rooms reserved for the History of Dermatology Society. Be sure to mention that you are there for the History of Dermatology Society Meeting. Reservations by attendees must be received on or before February 13, 2012, to receive the group rate. The King Bed rooms are $289.00 per night. The block of hotel rooms are offered from March 14th through March 20th. Please fill out the registration form and return. See you in San Diego!
